Goodness Gracious.

My first day of summer is just about over. Didn't really do a whole lot.
Woke up after dreaming that dede had decided she didn't want to go to zumba at the Y this morning, so I was figuring I'd sleep in as long as possible. Then I got her message saying I needed to pick her up... raced to get ready and made it up to the YMCA in time for class.
After that... really nothing.
Watched Timeline and the Buffy movie, did the dishes and ate dinner. and now I'm blogging.
So a handful of those rules and goals my parents and I decided on happened.
Ate a healthy lunch and dinner, got an hour of exercise, did the dishes, but I did eat some ridiculously rich chocolate cake and i still have to clean my room.
I gotta try to do a little better tomorrow.

Why I love my friends

When I began snapping shots of our first official moments as seniors, some were far more enthusiastic than others...
The list of class officers for senior year! We all held our positions from junior year :)
Daniel and Beth were trying to lovingly run into one another's arms...
They're so funny.
Still trying to get that 'embrace' shot with the heart. Lord have mercy.

Summer Officially Starts...NOW.

I finally wrapped up my junior year at 12:50 on Friday, but between getting sick on Saturday, (once in a parking lot, twice in a trash can, once in the toilet, and once in a bowl), trying to get a hold of my boss long enough to figure out my work schedule, and my final assignment for the Highschool Aerospace Scholars program with NASA, I haven't really gotten to the point where it feels like summer yet.
Now I'm feeling better, in fact I'm somehow managing right now to keep down a huge serving of Cheesecake Factory's grilled salmon and chocolate tower truffle cake, my last assignment is turned in, I've somehow managed to scrape all A's in my classes at school, and since my boss never called me back I have tomorrow off, so let the summer begin!
I have a few goals I've set for myself this summer, and a few that my parents have decided to set for me.

Mom and Dad's Rules for Summer 'Fun':
1. Every week must begin with a clean room
2. The duties of unloading and loading the dishwasher, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom will be equally divided between my two sisters and I
3. Gas money will come right out of my older sister and my pockets
4. Remember there are four drivers and three cars - whoever's left is stuck watching the little sis
5. Cheap meals!
6. Cheap thrills!
7. Cheap steals at thrift world

My Goals
1. Grow closer to God and prepare myself mentally, physically, emotionally, linguistically, and spiritually for the mission trip to Guatemala
2. Save up some serious $$ for my senior trip next spring break
3. Spend ridiculous amounts of time with friends
4. Figure out when Beth will be in town so I can utilize her hot tub
5. Get into shape so that I can look good in that bikini I got up the nerve to order off Urban Outfitters, and so that I can eventually make it through spin class without the desire to pass out and/or throw up
6. Finish summer reading and logging community service hours so I'm not trying to do it all the two days before school starts...that will probably happen no matter what i do.
7. Avoid soda and processed foods
8. Incorporate at least 30 minutes of being active into every day

Even if I don't fulfill everything on these lists, it's still summer. Nothing will change that until August 13th. And even then, I'll be a senior. This summer will no doubt be the best yet.
